Hello and Happy New Year,
I've had a Yamaha FG730 VCS before which was a nice sounding and well made guitar, however, i found it slightly awkward to play (because i often play whilst seated and it is fairly large - so no real fault of the guitar there, i should have found that out before buying). I found it to be great for strumming and has a good volume, but ended up swapping it after 3 months for a Tanglewood TW15 guitar (adding £40) after trying one in a guitar shop. It was shaped more like the classical guitar i'd owned before, just felt more comfy and easier to play and I preferred the tone and i'm happier with the sound overall and i just knew straight away that i wanted to keep it (i'll just have to keep away from guitar shops for a while now). This is my personal experience though, it depends how you play i guess. Good luck with your search!
