I usually clean my guitar with an old cotton T-shirt, its said that soft cotton fabric serves the purpose best, as it does'nt make any small scratches on the finish.
Its is also a very nice habit to cleanly wipe the fretboard before and after Playing.
This keps the fretboard healthy !!!
Thats what i do, maybe other people give better ideas, lets wait
