Hi Jim,

As a clarification, I've been playing since April 2005. I recorded these two songs about 2 months ago when my quest was to create a short CD of Christmas songs to go along with our Christmas cards. But, my community college guitar class got in the way of that, and i had to change my priorities.

As for background, I was quite the band geek in High School, where I taught myself the French Horn, Trombone, Sousaphone, and standup bass. Continued on with the Horn and Trombone for 3 years in college, but never any lessons, and I was never good enough to think of music as a career.

I never learned theory, but what I did learn was a good work ethic when it comes to learning music. I don't try to tackle whole songs right off the bat. Every song is made up of bars, and I have to learn songs bar by bar until I've memorized them, and then it's time for weeks of playing over and over. I picked up PT a couple of weeks ago, and now that the X-mas season is over, I can go back to my dailoy guitar playing and learning routine.

Thanks for the nice words. I'll post more songs as I become satisfied with the recordings.

Rob
