Slow Metal Ballad Backing Track

Hello Everyone,
I posted this track on Wholenote the other day but no one over there seems very interested.
I took the main part of this track from a jamcenter jam track and added 2 rythm guitar tracks to give it a little more depth and flavor.
It's a very simple Em-C chord progression and is pretty cool to jam to.
I'm looking forward to hearing what people do with it, i have my take on it in video form but it might be to big of a file to upload, We'll see.
If it is then I'll try to post a link to it.
Keep on Rockin', Mike

Kirk, Don't get me wrong I was playing along with your tracks years ago on wholenote before this site was even a idea and I respect you as a person and a guitar player, but just like wholenote you've got alot of members but very little activity.
This is the World Wide Web! and you have about 10 real guitar players!!!
I'm no virtuoso but I'm here to play, not talk.
The backing track is simple and made that way on purpose, for easy playing.
Sheesh your members can't even handle that let alone something intricate.
I'm out, see ya later, or not, Mike

It's obvious by that statement that you haven't taken much time to listen to the recordings here Mike. You also mentioned that you posted this backing track over at Wholenote and nobody over there seemed very interested. Maybe you just need to re-adjust your expectations on response times... Patience is a virtue you know.

See ya, Mike ... sorry the site and the players don't live up to your standards.

I've downloaded every backing track listed in this forum as well as listened to the "radio" player . Nothing original or very exciting.
How do I delete my membership??

It's not about standards, It's about playing. I don't care where a person is at in there playing.
It's about being creative and puting it out there, give it a shot and be a player.
The only way we improve and become creative is to just let it hang out and be adventurous.
Not by playing some tab note for note, or being the robot midi sequencer guitar player.
Sheesh, You should know that Kirk

I can delete your membership, Mike, no problem there ... in a flash.

Sounds to me like you should hang around a bit though. You imply that fiddling with the pentatoninc scale over Em and C is exciting and original ... it's not; you imply that only your taste in music is valid ... wrong again. I think you could learn a whole lot here, but I'm not sure that you're ready ...

Please confirm that I should delete your account.

"I'll find someplame where people are adventurous and play music." Well that was over the top. Only metal is adventurous and musical. Who knew.

This will be my last post here regardless of what you do with this thread or my membership.
I really did not intend for this to get so out of hand and I'm sorry if I've offended anyone.
Chord progressions and scales have been around a long time, If it wasn't exciting to fiddle with them then what are we all doing here????? Why are we playing the guitar at all if we cannot be creative and original with ANY piece of music.
When I sit down and play over a track like this one or any track it's played completely off the cuff and improvised on the spot. Thats playing music, when it just flows.
What I've said and expressed in this thread and in my music is just my opinion, take it or leave it.
I'm off to greener pastures, Merry Christmas, Mike
PS. Yes kirk, Confirmed

Just to put you in the picture, Alientheory, in case you do come back and read this:

This site is primarily a place of learning/teaching, a place where twangers of all descriptions, levels and taste can ask for and pass on information. It's not a place to come and insult everyone because they didn't jump to attention when you posted your backing track. You mentioned you got no response from Wholenote either. Perhaps you should consider the possiblity that it's not the 200,000 + members from WN, or the 24,000 members from this site, who are the culprits, but rather your tactless approach. You might want to brush up on your manners and give your ego a good cold shower before visiting the greener pastures you seek, I think you'll have better luck.
