If you're looking to play a steel-string acoustic guitar, that's what you should get. Because it's not as easy to fret and doesn't hide bad technique, an acoustic guitar is always better to learn on.

If you're worried about money and don't want to pay for a second guitar when you already have one, you can always find a cheap, fair-quality guitar.
