Geez 6string, you're making me look bad here

Seems to me if you can't see the ads (under the sponsors links to the left of the page) either, it would have to be some kind of javascript blocking problem. Maybe even a antivirus program blocking it since it seems to be enabled in your browser.

Could you just do me one last thing. Click on this link and let me know if it says your javascript is enabled or not. http://www.help4web.net/webmaster/Java/

Other than that. I also reset something in the admin panel of vBulletin that could have fixed things, but I won't hold my breath about that working either.

If anyone else is having this problem, please post here with any details you can give because as it stands, I'm going have to admit I'm stumped on this one ... maybe the next vBulletin upgrade will fix it, or even just updating your OS might do it 6string... whatever comes first.

It works, but the 1st time I tried it, it crashed my computer right after it said it was okay

don't worry I think my java "is" probably screwed up, I think I made a mistake when I uninstalled a program awhile ago, so it should go away when I reload my OS.

Ok, you win. The problem has nothing to do with me, it's all to do with you

Wow not only a new OS but a whole new computer all just to get those smilies to work ... and high speed... look out... I bought myself a new computer a couple of weeks ago and I LOVE IT. A new computer to me is I guess like a new guitar for most members on this forum... it's my favorite toy.

Now tell me 6string, your new avatar, I can't quite make out what it is. A hockey player obviously, but what's that behind him?... oh and also is the hockey on this year, I know they couldn't get it together last year. Have they sorted all that out?

I went back to Canada for a year least year, after 30 years of being away, I'd told Clancy all about the great hockey games we'd be watching ... the players were on strike!!!!!

Very disappointing ... I was a big fan as a teenager, a Montreal Habs fan of course, spent many a snowed in night with the family with a game on the TV. There's no game quite like it.

I'm now a big cricket fan, after decades down here. I know, I know ... but believe it or not, it can be just as exciting as hockey. Australia has been the top World team for years now. Every Commonwealth country except Canada has a team ... how did that happen?

This is interesting...

Not to ruin the chit chat .... but I'm not entirely sure that that this thread has anything to do with spell checking (anymore?). Nonetheless very interesting discussion going on.

I grew up a Habs fan also (pre Senators times)
Don't know if you heard but the Alouettes made it to the Grey Cup this year, the game was last Sunday
in B.C Place, it was a close game
I didn't get to watch but it sounded like a good game

"Sean Fleming kicked a 36-yard field goal in the second round of overtime to give the Edmonton Eskimos a thrilling 38-35 win over the Montreal Alouettes in the 93rd Grey Cup on Sunday"
