Jason,

I purchased it just before Christmas. I have been playing guitar for a long time. Took about 10 years off of playing then got back into it about 12 years ago. Some of the stuff came back pretty easily. But I still didn't have an understanding of some of the physical stuff I could do. This can lead to some frustration when playing along with others, or trying to figure out guitar parts in songs.

I purchased both the Book as well as the DVD. I feel comfortable saying it was probably one of the best investments in my music that I have made. After reading through the book a few times (which is what Kirk recommends) I started having these moments referred to by other PT owners as "Ah-Ha!" moments. That is when you are playing something, or listening to something, and the PT method makes it so clear as to what you just did or heard, you want to say "Ah-HA!". Sounds funny, but it happens.

I would recommend getting the book and the DVD, especially if you have never learned the "whys" of playing but still can play. I recommend it even more if you are new to guitar and want to learn stuff it has taken others years to learn.

Another plus, when you purchase PT, you can sign up for his other Forum. There are several folks on this forum that are there, too. There is an amazing amount of info from those folks. It's like having Kirk and a staff of associate instructors on hand just about any time you need them!

Really well worth the investment.
