I can't really remember. I was just surfing around guitar sites and one thing led to another and here I am. Very happy about it too.

There was a post of Kirk's on rec.music.makers.guitar.acoustic. I was pretty fed up with that news group (extreme rudeness) so when I found how friendly and informative this group is, I haven't bothered going back there.

I came via caberocks.net because as Tekker said, PicknGrin recommended it. But tracing back all the sites I found, it all began with Wholenote. Incidentally, because of the quality of all the people here and the quality of this website as a whole (thanks to Clancy ) it is now the forum I frequent the majority of the time. The stuff I learn here is astronomical so I must say to everyone THANK YOU!!!

Shear blind luck. Yes it was a web search but I had just bought my first guitar and was looking for a site with lessons that peeked my interest. Definately a supportive group that I am happy to say I'm associated with.
It's coming up on a year and this is still the place I keep returning too.
Thanks Kirk and Clancy.

I first read about GFBABF at Wholenote. However, it wasn't until my boyfriend, also a member of this site and WN, prompted me to look at GFBABF that I decided to join.

I'm very impressed with the lessons.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
