Well I did the obvious and used a standard 12-bar blues progression as the basis for the tune to this song.

I'm posting the results in the Recording Booth.

Here are the chords:

Blues are Over

I [C]woke up this morning [F]delighted at all I could [C]see
I’m [F]loving my baby and she’s loving [C]me
We got [G7]four years up tomorrow and F]we live by the [C]sea [G7]

I [C]look out my window [F] the horses are wild and [C]free
[F]They graze on the hilltop, they gaze at the foaming [C]sea
They don’t [G7]know about tomorrow, don’t [F]care about you or [C]me [G7]

The [C]blues are over [F]they faded like my [C]jeans
[F]I can’t help feeling as high as I’ve ever [C]been
[G7]There’s no tomorrow to-[F]day is just a [C]dream [G7]

I [C]see you beside me [F]I look at your smiling [C]face
[F]There’s no way to say it, can’t be said in any [C]case
[G7]No way to explain it, we [F] live in a state of [C]grace [G7]

The [C]blues are over [F]they faded like my [C]jeans
[F]I can’t help feeling as high as I’ve ever [C]been
[G7]There’s no tomorrow to-[F]day is just a [C]dream [C7] [F] [Fm7] [C] [C7]
