I believe the idea behind 4'33'' is that the pianist comes out, sits down, lifts the lid (is this the correct term?) of the piano and then sits still and silent for 4'33'' before replacing the lid. The actual 'performance' comes from the noise made by the audience whether it's shuffling of feet, silence, sniggering or the unwrapping of sweets. I must say that if I were in the audience part of the 'performance' would be me shouting for a refund.
At least the organ performance won't ever get bad reviews as all the critics will be long dead by the time it finishes.
I wonder how much classic D'Angelico and D'Aquisto guitars will be worth in 639 years?
