I'm not talking about big band music either. There seems to be some songs that have a "swing beat" or a swing feel to them. I think I know it when I hear it but I am having a hard time pinpointing exactly what it is. It seems to go across different types of music; rock, jazz, country or whatever. Is there a certain beat or rhythm pattern that describes it or does it go beyond that to chord progressions and key selection?
