I've been watching the forum for quite some time now, and have
never participated. It's been very informative and friendly. So, I thought that I would jump in and introduce myself, and say how very much I appreciate Kirk, Clancy and this site and all the others who have contributed so much to help in my understanding of the guitar and all of its working parts. I have been struggling for quite some time to be able to just pick up my guitar and play something that sounds like music. Along the way I've encountered Corpal Tunnel and DeQueveins synd.
, but thanks to an Herbalist and Active Vit. B6 I am now back on my way to playing again.
I've been reading Kirk's book, practicing and have come a long way. I am no where near to where I should be, but I will get there, I'm not in any hurry.
I "LOVE" Fingerstyle Acoustic guitar- the music is beautiful and sweet.
Players like: Neil Young, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Van Morrison, James Taylor, Jim Croce, Bob Seeger, CCR, CSN&Y, Mason Williams, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon, Tracy Chapman, Bonnie Raitt, Harry Chapin, Don McLean, John Denver, Cat Stevens, Dave Matthews, just to name a few from my short list.
I'm from the East Coast in the US. I've been looking for a good music teacher, but haven't found one as yet.

Anyway.......I just wanted to say Hi to everyone, and thank's Clancy for the B'day greeting back in June. This is a site that I truly enjoy.
