  Firefox/Quicktime problem - Experts please help!

Hi

I was trying to build a groove (backing track) at Wholenote.com this morning and came across the following problem - whenever I try to play back the groove I get a message from Firefox that "additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page". When I hit the "Install Missing Plugins" button it indicates that Quicktime is required - yet QT v6.5.1 is already installed on my computer.

Everything all works fine in Internet Explorer, but I don't want to have to switch to IE every time this happens.

I have Googled and followed this advice:

QUOTE/

Quicktime 6.5

* Close all instances of Firefox
* Launch Quicktime
* Go to Edit > Preferences > Quicktime Preferences
* Select "Browser Plug-in" from the Drop-down Menu
* Click "Mime Settings"
* Enable the file types you wish Quicktime to handle. Do not enable Flash.
* Click "OK"
* Select "Connection Speed" in the Drop-down Menu
* Choose the connection that best matches your current Internet connection speed
* Click OK

/END QUOTE

This hasn't fixed the issue.

Any ideas? Has anyone else managed to fix this problem? Please help soon - tearing my hair out is not good for my health!

Thanks ...

Ian
