I am not sure what you are asking. There are some chords that just don't line up enough notes to capture the flavour of certain chords with extensions so You have to finger them instead or play part of the chord with the
slide and fill in the other notes with either the slide or fingers one at a time. Some guys can hold notes behind the slide,but you have to have the hands of a brain surgeon to do it well.
