OH! It's only that particular guitar? I was thinking you had previously recorded with that guitar and didn't have any problems until now.... But re-reading your other post I see that you did mention you didn't get this problem with electric guitar and bass and never mentioned that acoustic.

Ok, so you don't have any problems with electric instruments, it's only the acoustic that makes the hiss.... Well, that rules out everything but the pickup in your guitar, so that is most likely the source of the extra noise. I have never used an acoustic with an "add-on" pickup (I always use mics to record acoustic guitars), so maybe that brand of pickup just happens to be noisey or maybe you got a dud.

I would try to find out from others who have that type of pickup if they have also problems with noise. If so, then you will probably have to remove the noise using CEP. But if no one else has any problems with it, then I'd take it back (if you just got it) or just take it in and see what the guitar techs think about it.

It's not a lot of hiss and it can be removed with a little effort, but it's always better to try to fix the problem at the source if possibile.
