Heck, never mind writing it....I'd be satisfied with just being able to PLAY it like Lynyrd Skynyrd does!!!

Hotel California is SACRED. If someone really would want to have written it, they'd do best not to mention it, the Eagles will know.

You think "Freebird" is difficult. Have go at Skynyrd's "I know a little". That'll test you.

Which song would you like to have written?

My first choice would be anything written by Beethoven, Mozart, etc from the classical era. But I would settle for 'Stairway to Heaven' as a second choice.

The national anthem, I'd love everyone to stand up for me each time it was played. lol

I'd say just about anything by the Eagles, I think they have some of the best lyrics in there songs.

Virtually anything by Roy Harper, but especially 'When an Old Cricketer leaves the Crease' I've left instructions that it should be played when I turn my face to the wall.

Bob Dylan's Dream. The lyrics are so simple but so evocative.

Robert Johnson Travelling Riverside Blues.

Fleetwood Mac, Man of the World. Never managed to sing it through without breaking up.

Four Strong Winds by Ian Tyson but only ever sounds right with Neil Young's plaintive wail.

But I couldn't write a song to save my life, I'm just so glad that there is so much good stuff out there.

HEy, good topic... Mine would be:

Jason Webley: Map

I could think of a million more, but that songs lyrics is probally some of the most interesting lyrics I ever heard. Even if he just strummed one chord and raped the lyrics I would still like it.

Theres a million more, but i just wanted to chose one... And yes, theres a lot of bob dylan songs I wish I wrote
