  Changing key (Transposition)

Changing the key of a song (also called transposing) simply means changing its pitch to make it higher or lower by any amount we choose. It's a very useful skill and most guitarists at some time find themselves in a situation which calls for a change of key. It's purely a matter of quickly and accurately calculating notes spacings to bring the right results, and as with all methods, the more you do it, the easier it becomes. These lessons show you why we might need to transpose and how to do it.
