Did I say to drink only one beer? To a Canadian? What was I thinking?

Nice video! It looks like a lot of fun.

Thanks tomg, D-Dawn, Scotty_b, Guitar Jim, Macmoondoggie, Allthumbs!

It was a blast. We had chairs set up with kids and parents listening and singing along. First time I've really left the safety of the house and played in front of people. Maybe it was the beer, but I got into a strange calm zone and wasn't nervous about it.

Joe Strummer, my 12 string is a Garrison G-12, made in Newfoundland, Canada.

And yes, RB, trying to keep a good Canuck from having a beer or two on a hot summer day at a backyard party is a tall order!

Garrison Guitars have the fiberglass bracing don't they? Being interconected, the tone and volume is supposed to be better than traditional wood bracing. Have you found that with your axe?

Hey Marty,

I'm no axe-pert, believe me, but the volume on this guitar is outstanding. That video clip was playing through my amp, but without an amp, it's plenty loud. As for tone, I haven't been playing long enough to offer an informed opinion. I love it, but it's my only acoustic.

Garrison posts product reviews from the leading trade journals here:

Shame on you for posting nude photos

Looks a blast, When I lived in Canada I used to love Canada day. It was a long day drinking Beer and eating at various BBq's along our street.

Really cool Todd!

Great playing and Tina was singing up a storm.

Now, as far as the two-foot-tapping-not-in-time-to-anything-discernible part...

You were actually powering a knitting wheel, right? I've seen women doing just what you were to get the wheel going 'round. Only they didin't usually play geetar at the same time... Strange Canadian tradition!

Great first public gig!

Jim

Now that's funny Jim! Powering an imaginary knitting wheel! I cracked up when I read that. I never noticed I'm a double foot tapper until this video revealed it. I'll work on my toe tapping technique!
