I picked E because I thought it suited my voice best & I also use it to check my tuning. But you couldn't do without G or C or D or any of them really, could you?

Bm is one of my favourites... Alot of classical Spanish music is anchored by that chord...!!!

Cheers

Had to go with G Major (1). Inexplicably, it always seems to be the first chord I grab when I pick up a guitar, either in the (1) configuration or an 'E-form' barre.

I strum a D and a G to check my tuning. The D chord is very unforgiving when it comes to tuning and the G takes care of the full body check for me.

That is a chord you attempt to play after way too many drinks at a party. It involves using all your fingers and toes. Other body parts are also added depending on the quality of the booze consumed. Elbows and foreheads are popular.

The booze is required to actually hear it. It's like a dog whistle, only the drunk people will cheer when you play it.

So it's one of the chords used in "Louie Louie" then?

I've always loved the G major2, I used to use Gmaj1, but the ring from 2 is a lot richer and gives a nice sexy sound.

not sure bouts this one.. I do know I prefer the full G chord and that I much prefer Cadd9 to a C chord... I like the D chord but the A chord always sounds kinda countyrish to me ...which brings me to that full sounding E major... sounds rock and roll to me .. so if I had to choose I think it would be E... but I aint choosing

I guess I've always like the E because it sounds so good just after I tune up!
