We have Radio! GFB&B Featured Members Radio!
Well after a few months of planning we have finally got the GFB&B Featured Members Radio up and running!! It's in the beta stage at the moment although so far it's tested ok.
We are starting off with tunes from our members lcjones, nocat, Rockerbob and Kirk. All the tunes on the Featured Members Radio are either originals or tunes that are old enough to not have a problem with the copyright. There's about 70 songs in the player so far with more coming soon... that's plenty of listening.
We've made sub-forums for all our featured members here so that other members can leave feedback or ask questions. These subforums are located under the radio forum but also can be accessed directly from the player as you will see... I've been lucky enough over the last couple of weeks to have been listening to all these great tunes... it really does make a difference when you are listening in a streamable format. We sure have some talent on here.
We are hoping to add more members music in the future. At the moment, nocat, lcjones and Rockerbob are all using their own servers for the streaming of their music. Thanks guys!!
The player I have chosen for the radio is a Flash player, so you will need the latest version of Macromedia Flash installed on your computer. If you don't have that already (chances are that you do) - you can download it from here - Flash Player
Anyway, without further ado, you can access the radio from the link up in the nav bar (after you have logged in) or from the link from the radio forum. Or just go here - The Radio.
Any problems just let me know in this thread. Enjoy and make sure you...
TURN IT UP!!

Aaarg... I lost the radio!
Aaarg... I lost the radio after trying to leave feedback and jacking with my popup blocker. Previously i could listen to the radio if I hit RADIO in the menu bar "twice". The first click did not pop it up but the second click did. I then went to leave feedback and the popup blocker stopped me. I then added http://www.guitarforbeginners.com to my Popup Blocker settings and now the Window pops up but no radio inside it.
Well, now I have the radio back after deleting GFB from my trusted sites in Internet Options and added it back in my Popup Blocker trusted sites, but I still get the Popup Blocker message when trying to leave feedback from the Radio window.
Any suggestions?

1) Hold down Ctrl and then click to leave feedback or
2) Go into the Recording Booth from the main forum page. From there you can go into each radio members feedback area.

You guys are awesome!!! I just love the radio station. I tried to leave some individual comments but must have done something wrong, it just kept taking me back to the list and I did'nt see the song I was listening to. Anyway I like them all!!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
Buy it now for only $10 |
