plain talk is good ,however i mastered the fret board from two books. Mel Bays ''deluxe encyclopedia of guitar chords'', and a book/cd combo by Mark John Sternal called ''total scales techniques and applications'' . these two gems are what brought me to an advanced level of playing guitar. Go on Ebay, or Amazon and you'll find great material to purchase in relation to guitar playing. see ya, Johnny
