Your use of generating ideas by using the cat was really great.
In my past life, I was heavily into systems analysis, creative thinking, and brainstorming ideas. I've got lots of different methodologies and software for breaking a problem down to it's infinite level. I used these for business problems, writing screenplays, comedy writing, and in creating a character for acting in plays.
For some reason it never occurred to me to use creative thinking concepts for song writing! I don't know what I was thinking.
Maybe I thought it was some type of inspirational or mystical process.
But you are right. Just brainstorm all the possibilities of what you are writing about. That is brilliant.
Like Kirk, I'm ready to start writing. But it is 3:20 AM here so I guess I better get some sleep.
