(Boy, I've got to start paying more attention to threads already listed before posting one of my own "original" ideas...)

Sorry, CK -- didn't see this.

If any of you get a hold of Count Basie Orchestra records and listen to that sweet 4 to the bar background rythm with beautifull 1 note chord voicing you will fall in love with Freddy Green style of rythm playing. To me he was and still is, the best rythm guitar player ever!!!

Ah, Freddie Green! I agree.

Justin Hayward (Moody Blues)
Joan Jett (still rockin' hard out there)
Steve Marriott (Humble Pie)
John Fogerty (CCR)
Tom Fogerty (CCR)
Bob Weir (the Dead)
Paul Simon can strum some pretty chords for sure.
Richard(s) and Wood doing the "Ancient Form of Weaving" (from Wikipedia)
Roland Cazimero (Brothers Cazimero)
Gabby Pahinui

I'm gonna have to go with Dickie Betts of the Allman Bros Band.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
