I'm doing that as a lesson right now, sleepy. Should be up in a couple of hours. As for YGAF, of course you have the skill to learn it!

Hey there, Sleepy...

As my profile indicates, I'm truly wet behind the ears around here. It took me about twenty minutes just to find my way back to this part of the forum, but I was rewarded by your comment so it was worth it...

Looks like I need to buy some sort of camcorder, or can we just post an audio file?(like I said, I'm new around here.) "Don't Think Twice" was one of the first songs I learned...way back in the 70s...in an effort to impress my at-the-time girlfriend. Not sure how much of an impression I made, but thanks to her I'm still playing guitar all these years later.

Believe me, I was born with a tin ear. As a kid, people around me would BEG me not to sing to the radio, and today they still politely do that, but...amazingly...and thanks solely to the efforts of musical geniuses like Kirk...it was possible to learn to play songs by pure rote.

When you're ready to tackle YGAF, please let me know. I'm liable to have gotten burned out by then, but for now I'm feeling pretty comfortable with measures 5 and 6, so it looks like 7 and 8 are on the agenda for this weekend. Kirk does a couple of slides that really aren't indicated in the tablature, but they sure do make sense (and make playing the song easier.)

Looks like I need to find my way to the Members Recordings so I can see what everyone else has been up to.

Bob

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
