You're a shade younger than me..I'm 66 and just starting out.

Jimmy Reed was/is my all-time favorite...as a kid I listened to
Stan's out of Shreveport, and After Hours; Galatin (sp) TN

I figure that if you are going to learn the guitar it should be music that gives you pleasure.
