Hi mylo,

A few members have been asking me about this via PM, so I'm glad you asked on the forum... I've been meaning to to clear things up for those who may be wondering about this for a while now.

The chat is available to you if you see a link for it in the nav bar after you have logged into the site.

We don't make it known exactly how active a member has to be to get into chat. This is for the protection of our members. We do have the occasional troublemaker here and we don't want the forum disrupted (especially in an un-moderated area like the chat room) so sometimes (although we don't like doing it) we unfortunately have to put these kind of measures in place. We hope you understand.

Cheers

Clancy

I am having trouble accessing the chat room. It loads and
then nothing. I deleted my cookies and then was able to
enter tonite but then it froze and I couldn't get back
in. I re-deleted cookies but it hasn't worked this time
I'm not a big chatroom person but I do enjoy poppin in sometimes
to check out the lowdown Plus I am just obsessive compulsive
enough to drive me crazy when things don't work
Thanks in advance for any help!!

Hi Tory,

Sorry I didn't get back to you about this yesterday. I did realize that you were probably having problems as I saw you come and go from the chat room about 5 or 6 times the day before yesterday...

Anyway, not sure if you sorted it out or not, but because the chat room uses Flash, you really need to clear your Flash cookies to really clear things out. Clearing your browser cookies may work but I would try this instead if you continue having problems.

Go to this link - Link to clear your Flash cookies - you will see "Macromedia Flash Player Settings Manager. To clear your Flash cookies all you need to do is click on the "Delete all sites" button - that way all Flash Cookies will be deleted.... or if you just want to delete the Flash Cookies for this site only, you can just select "guitarforbeginners.com" from the visited websites list and just click on the "Delete website" button instead.

This should work for anyone else having trouble with the chat room as well. If that doesn't work, just make sure you have the latest version of Flash installed.

Hope that helps.

Cheers

Clancy
