Just a quickie really, I was given a set of Flatwound Nickels to try on one of the Guitars that I use for
Slide. Very Interesting.... I'm using these on a Squier that was lying around awaiting final decisions about modifying..... I can't really see these as being exactly "wonderful" on an Acoustic.....but they are OK..ish on this Squier. I have always used ordinary strings before this and I'm still undecided. Is anyone else using these? I suppose that they could be seen to help supress Noise from the Slide if your Damping technique hasn't come together?
Any Comments welcomed, before I take em off and get back to regular strings.
