I'm not sure if the violin can be self-taught. I suppose, like most instruments, it probably can (I know my Dad taught himself the clarinet, which I would have thought HAD to be taught to you). All I know is that, initially, the learning curve is very steep. It's probably the sort of instrument that it's best to get some lessons at the start at least.

Hi GT

Thankyou so much for Caring . Actually I'm from India and that too from a very small town. Here there are no oppurtunities to learn a Western Instrument. Infact I'm teaching myself Guitar (Fingerstyle) for the past 5 Months, and its only because of this wonderful Family and all the help I get from the Internet. I dont think I can get any guidance in Violin too

But Anyways, I think I should concentrate on Guitar first, and get thorough understanding of Music, then maybe I cantry to learn other instruments too.
Thankyou so much for all the care and kindness, Buddy !!!! You're seem to be friendly and caring

Lots of Regards
Kush

No one can master every aspect of guitar playing, they just get better everyday.
