Yeah, I own Stagg--electric LP style--got it for $199.US and considered it a good value-great finish-sounds real good and plays very nice--I looked at the acooustics and the hollow bodies, IMO if you're not concerned with having the proper "name' on your guitar they are a real nice value--you are right they are made in china and to my eye they are doing finish and detail work better then many better known companies.
