Eliminate Pick Noise
Hi All-
First post here. I'm just curious how I might be able to eliminate or at least lessen the sound of my pick on the strings. I play rhythm, and would like to just get the clean sound from the strings without much "pick percussion". Is this a mic placement issue, is it something that can be done with my recording software? Here's my setup:
Guitar & Pick: Tacoma Chief (played with *very* thin Dunlop picks...the red ones, can't remember the gauge.)
Mic: Shure SM81-LC from about 2 feet away.
Software: Adobe Auditon 1.5
Any help would be appreciated.
