bluesguy, the Dot plays great. I hope I can get good enough to make it sound as good as it looks. My wife commented right away how good it sounds. She told me I needed to learn 10 songs before I bought another guitar but I was bad and bought it anyway.

So the fact that she even commented how good it sounded must mean it was noticeably better than my G&L S-500.
The added bonus was that the guy I bought it from is a luthier and I dropped off my Ovation at his house today. He showed me his Ovation and the strings where much lower to the frets than his. I mean like about 1/4 the distance at the 12th fret. So he is going to get my Ovation playing sweet. The action was so bad on it that it hardly came out the case.
When I pick up the Ovation I'm going to drop off my G&L S-500 and have him do a major setup on it as well. I've never had anything done to it since I got it from the pawn shop. It plays pretty well, but I bet it's really out of whack. It has a tremolo bridge and I have no idea if it's anywhere close to being adjusted correctly.
