Things that get me excited...

Other than my wife of course

From left right...

G&L S-500 - I believe it to be a 1984. I saw an identical one on eBay that was listed as a 1984 model. I bought this in the 80's at a pawn shop with a Gorilla GC25 practice amp for $60 if I can reminder correctly. I'm finally learning how to do something with it after all this time. Hmmm, this reminded me the Gorilla got left out. It's a cool little amp, but I've got something better now.

Ovation CC026 Celebrity LE acoustic/electric - OK, here's the story on this guy. I bought it from Musician's Friend over the objection of my wife, who thought I should go into Sam Ash and play their guitars. Being shy about my total lack of ability perfered the anonymity of shopping on the web. Well I got it and was disappointed with the action. I didn't know enough about guitars to go get it setup properly. This guy mostly sits in a case but I'm taking it to a luthier this weekend.

Brownsville acoustic/electric - OK, so now my wife has had a good laugh over the Ovation and we go to Sam Ash to try out guitars. By this time I could play a few riffs, chords, and tidbits of songs so I'm a bit braver. I sit in their acoustic room and play the instruments for about a hour, and I keep coming back to this Brownsville (Sam Ash private label generic guitar I think). It plays nice and it's reasonably priced. I really like it and I'm not sure that the Ovation will replace it even after getting set up.

Epiphone Dot - I just bought this little sweetie last night off craigslist (orlando) for $325. Didn't even try and bargain. It came with an Epi hardshell case and both are in flawless like-new condition. I think I'm more of a Humbucker man at this point in my musical adventure. I'd been looking at low end Les Paul guitars and those $200 Oscar Schmidt OE40's when I saw this baby and knew this was what I wanted. OK, so my wife says I'm a kid who can't control himself, but I explained that it was an investment. No seriously! It is.

Epiphone Valve Jr Head, SSCabs 1x12 closed-back cabinet, Vox GSH12-8 speaker - I'm really happy with setup. I bought the speaker and cab off eBay and the head from MF. I love the sounds that come out of it. For those that don't know the head is a 5 watt tube amp for $100.

Bottom row left to right...

Guitar Port - Don't use it anymore. I bought it a couple years ago and had a lot of fun playing with it then lost interest in the guitar again. You need to use it with the computer and I'm not fond of that.

Digitech RP300 - Got this used off eBay and I really like it for an all-in-one effects box. I use it quite a bit for irritating the dogs and anyone in ear shot.

Danelectro Fab Tone - This thing is built like a tank and was cheap off eBay. It's works ok, doesn't seem like the "fab" (overdrive) knob has a good range of setting, but you can get some decent crunch out of it. Just not much variety. The volume and tone controls help. Sort of obsoleted now by my RP300.

Behringer 1002FX mixer - The hub of my recording. I absoluetely love it and would buy another if I lost this one.

The Rodman Nibbler - OK, not really. The Rodman Nibbler is some kind of tool. Probably a nibbler . I bought the box from Skycraft (electronic junk/hobby/etc shop), and the ingredients as well. It's a amp attenuator I made. The gold thing is a 25watt 8 ohm resistor. I wired it up so the amp is terminated into 8 ohms and tapped with a 750ohm pot to make an adjustable "line" level output. If you plug in a speaker then it bypasses the resistor but you still have line out active.

Well, that's most of my goodies. I sure can't attribute any bad sounds to lack of equipment. Thanks for reading if you're still here.
