How do I turn off the notification emails?
I have been asked a few times about how you go about turning email notifications off, so I thought I'd put it in a thread here so that others wanting to do the same thing wouldn't need to ask.
How to turn the notification emails off.
To turn off the notification emails (emails you get when another member posts in a thread in which you have either started or have replied), just follow the instructions below.
All you have to do is log in and then go to your User CP (link is located the nav bar) - then to edit options - then scroll down until you see Default Thread Subscription Mode - then select no email notification, then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the save changes button and you're done.
If you would like to see a demonstration, click here
Cheers

Can you just unsubscribe to one topic you've replied on but still get email notifications for other topics you want to know about.

Yes you can powe6563,
Just go to your User CP and the first page you will be taken to has a list of all your subscribed threads. Just unsubcribe from the ones in which you no longer want email notification.

Pretty neat isn't it? I made it with a program called Captivate by Adobe.

Maybe it just turns the email notifications off for the threads you subscribed to after you changed your settings... if this is the case, just go to your User CP and go to your Subscribed threads and click on List Subscriptions and then select the checkbox next to all the threads listed... then scroll down to the bottom of that page and select from the drop down list " no email notification" and press go... If you have more than one page of subscriptions, you will need to repeat this for all the pages.
That should work for ya.

Hmmm, well it stopped. Might have needed time to catch up or I was getting time delayed emails. Nothing wrong with getting emails, but whew was feeling up my inbox pretty fast lol. Thanks Clancy.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
