I'm sorry if my Question seems absurd or not-very-brilliant, but I really wanna know this
1. What is Improvisation ? Is it like creating your own music (or song) ?
2. For Finger-style players, does improvisation means that we have to invent the melody, chord changes, bass lines etc ????
3. I understand that for being able to improvise, one has to have a stong theory knowledge and
PT is gonna help me in this, but when does a player reach a position, where he can play his favorite songs, without depending upon tabs ?
If I may speak personally here, I usually can play the melody line of any song after hearing it about 10 - 20 times, ONLY USING A FLATPICK, but though I have learnt about 10 Finger-Style song-arrangments, I have no idea about what I'm doing and how will I get to a position when I'll be able to play all my Family's Favorite songs.
