Sorry for the late reply Biker, must've missed that one. Yeah, I think the book (download as a PDF) is pretty good. It goes fairly well into how the guy got started, how he did some of his guitars, do's and dont's for beginners and gives a lot of information on technique. Pretty much step by step. I'd say anyone with common sense and a bit of DIY savvy should be able to get a good result from following his stuff.

Main thing that's holding me up from giving it a go, apart from lack of time, is that some of the materials he use's are not available here in Australia. Shipping them is a problem because they are all classified dangerous goods, inflammables and whatnot requiring specialised (expensive) handling. I don't know if that would also be a problem for you in the UK.
