I have been playing off and on for about a year now. I have a series of 3 guitar method books which I have currently have completed 1-1/2 of the books. I love the guitar and want to learn more but find myself occasionally getting bored of the instruction in the method books and not picking up the guitar for weeks at a time. I know that Kirk is a pro and could definetely help. I joined the forum because I know that there are a lot of experienced guitarists that could help as well.

The information and lessons provided by Kirk are helping a great deal. Is there a basis of what I should know / learn on the guitar. I have learned sight reading although I need to continue to practice. I also have learned about 11 chords, which I believe are pretty basic. What should I be doing next? Could any of you that have at some point been in my shoes, give me some direction? Thanks to all and I look forward to communicating with my fellow guitarists.
