Wings
Hello guys...
It has been two years since I started playing the guitar.Time is too little to practice(I only have about one hour or less per day)due to a hectic program, but I try my best. Here is a song I finished recording today.
SoundClick artist: Theodore Logaras - page with MP3 music downloads
The first and second takes are the same song. The difference is the ending, the last 30 seconds or so on take two.I added some arpeggios but I am not so sure they fit the song...
I would kindly ask you to tell me if you notice some progress compared to the other songs that are on my profile, songs that were recorded last year(I was playing for a year).Anyway,I hope you like the song ...
All the best,
Theo

I liked that a lot Theo, and I'm impressed with your playing after such a short time. I agree that when using headphones the left/right is distracting/uncomfortable when only one side is playing, but fine when both left and right carry audio at the same time.
I particularly liked the melodic lines and the fact that you didn't try to fill every space with lots of notes - it gave the tune a chance to soar - 'wings' and all that. Very well done.

You have come a long way in short time. Your beginning to soar now so keep up the good work my friend.

Carol,
thank you very much for your kind words.Yes,the thing about panning hard left or right.I just have to get used to the idea to double check the recording with headphones and also through the speakers.I will keep this in mind and hopefully it will never happen again.I also want to thank you for the encouragement you give me when you say that I am doing good for the time that I am playing the guitar...Music is all about melody and I am really happy with the solos. What I hate the most though is the fact that I don't have enough time to work with Kirk's PT.I am sure that I could do a lot better. The support that I have recieved from all of you guys here is the most important part in my playing.I wouldn't even dream to be at this level if it wasn't for this forum!Hats off and all my respect to Kirk Lorange and all of you guys here.I owe it all to you...
EddieZ,
it comes as a great gift to hear from an experienced guitarist that I am doing good for the time that I play.I couldn't ask for a better reward!Thank you for being so kind!...
Bob,
I haven't heard from you in ages!Thank you for your kind words! It is really good to hear from you again!..I don't know if it would sound better to play the arpeggios at the end a bit slower.Anyway,I am glad to hear that you liked them. Thanks again...
All the best,
Theo

Wow Theo, that's a beautifull tune, ethereal and hypnotic, I love stuff like this. The recording is lovely and clean too, sounds just gorgeous on my speakers. Well done

Jomi,
thank you very much! You are being very kind with me!I like this kind of music and I keep wondering if I come up with songs like this because I can't play the guitar better to make a rock/metal/epic song or if this is the music that represents me .Thank you for your time...
Kenny,
thank you very much for taking the time to listen.I am glad you liked the song...
All the best,
Theo
