Keep at that Lynard intro! You need to use a liitle muting with the palm of your hand and get the timing just right ..... not as easy as it looks, but worth it when you get it! I like the see through scratch plates like the Strat EC used for the Crossroad's concert myself. What's happened to the headstock decal on the Strat in your last picture? At first I thought the pic was laterally reversed, like when you print a negative from the wrong side, but I'm not sure now ... Ah Cannae Nae ken it!
Actually, I wouldn't mind having a go myself. I got the book from that site I pointed you to. Just waiting for that 36 hour day to be invented .......
