Nut Files

I have a very nice sounding Turner 75CE 6 string acoustic. I have set it up myself , lowering the action and adjusting the truss rod and I was very pleased with how easy I found it.

My playing is coming on rather well ( Travis Picking using Mark Hansons books ) and of course Kirkes Plane Talk. I lowered the string height at the nut by cutting the slots with a fine saw. I now want to just take a tiny bit more out of the slots to obtain a slightly lower action still but I have no intention of cutting into the 3 bass string slots with a saw because I want to obtain a "rounded" bottom to the slot. I am in a position whereby the action is good enough to not warrant the purchase of a set of fret files to be used only once. I know that the standard advice is to take it to a techy but wouldnt it be nice if I could Hire a set of files for a moderate fee. Surely other guitarists would like to do likewise.

Any Ideas anyone? I really would like to do it myself

I am in the Stoke on trent UK if any one local can help
