Hi Everybody

Hi, my name is Will and Ive been playing the guitar for about seven years. The only problem is I sound like Ive been playing for about seven months. Ive taken many breaks and picked up many other instruments along the way but never really got serious about guitar. That was untill I started hearing some Townes Van Zandt, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, James Taylor and some other increadibly talented and increadible sounding finger pickers. My interest origionally fell to the banjo because of the unique sound that the rolls make and I loved the flow of the picking. After learning all I could teach myself (and there are far fewer Banjo for Beginners sites than their are guitar sites,) I put the banjo down and picked up the old six string only to find that the rolling skills that i had picked up did not transfer over as seamlessly as I had assumed they would. Then after hours of both tabbing myself and searching for tabs online to practice with I stumbled across your weekly lesson on Helplessly Hoping. Now I have been practicing along to many of the Weekly Lesson files and loving it. I just wanted to drop a line and say thanks Kirk. So,
Thanks Kirk,
Your Friend, William

P.S. Just a suggestion...but I think a good idea for a weekly lesson could be a nice finger picked version of Frankie and Johnny.
