Hallelujah
I found the words on the Internet Monday evening and did a quick recording Tuesday evening. Forgive the clams, each part was a single take. I was anxious to hear it. I love this tune and I'm glad I finally got around to learning it. I'm playing in G, capoed at the third fret, so it's in Bb. It works good here for my voice.

Don't know how I missed this post for so long Rockerbob but I just listened to it two or three times in a row. Brilliant! Got to say that's not normally my kinda song but you did it so well I just found it compelling listening.

Fantastic Rockerbob!!!
You truly made this yours and I don't think it could have been done better.
It was a real pleasure to listen to (a number of times and a few more to come!)
Congrats,
Jim

what a fantastic recording, I have down loaded it into my mp3 player ( I hope you don't mind) and it honestly gives me inspiration as to what can be done on the guitar that can be that good and enjoyable. thank you rockerbob!.

Man, I think *you* should have been picked to sing this for Shrek. Absolutely one of the best I've ever heard, truly.

Beautiful
Rockerbob, you certainly have been blessed with talent. Thanks for sharing and continuing to share your abilities with this group. That was indeed a beautiful version and I love listening to that type of music. Sometimes simplicity is the best approach. Can't wait to hear other postings from you along this same vein.

still think this is done oooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so good. am just learning to play , been trying to chord along with you. get lost when you sing the higher notes towards the end of the verse. what chords do you use, if you don't mind telling. if you come up with any more songs, send them to us poor beginners. they really give us the urge to try harder. thank you for the song, again, dean

Thanks much!
Attached is a PDF of the chords I used. I was capo at fret 3.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
