From what I've heard Westfield guitars aren't too good althought they're really cheap. My friend has a Westfield and hates it. But obviously that one case doesn't speak for all Westfield guitars so I could be wrong.
However one company I would recommend for cheap guitars is Vintage. I'm not sure if they sell outside the UK but I have one and it's one of my favourite guitars - it was also my very first guitar. Priced at 175pounds I preferred it to a BC Rich I once bought for 400 (which I later sold off for a profit of 50 quid
