In case you're interested, the upload was a song I found called 'Sore Thumb' and wanted to post it to Chaotic Kittie's My Aching Thumb thread.
Thanks Clancy
Do I feel like a bad guy now. Sorry Carol. That tune is more than likely copyrighted so I had to remove it. If you can prove it is in the public domain than I can put it back. We have to always be aware of the copyright police.
I took a look. They have 2 tunes on soundclick, but they also have a store on their homepage where you have to pay to download each tune. I didn't see the tune you uploaded on their home page so it is still in the air whether it is a free upload or not. See if yo can find where you got it from and check it out.

Oh well, at least when you are ready to post a sample of your playing, you'll know how to upload.

Luckily for you I don't even have a microphone yet, but you never know - you may live to regret that particular challenge in the future. I'll have to study the 'How to record your own music sections' of this website, so you're safe for a while

Google for it. It is easy to find. It does take a bit of fiddling to get it to work with Audacity. You have to put it into a file within Audacity and point to it the first time you use it. There are posts about it here. Use the search button and you should find several posts about it.
I just did a search for you. Here is a thread about installing lame.

Hi Jimmyzowens, have you converted it to an MP3, or similar that might be the problem

Hi jimmyzowens, you need a lame encoder heres a link to audacity on to the lame download page. this should work for you.

Audacity: Windows

And here's how to convert the WAV file to MP3

How to Convert a WAV File to a MP3 File - wikiHow

or there's this which converts files to almost any format, this has a free download period.

Switch Software Download Page

Hope I've helped a bit

Chris
