How to attach/include a photo with your post.

If you want to attach/include a photo or file with your post, just do the following.

Write your message, then scroll down below the message area to where it say additional options, then attach files, then click on manage attachments - browse to find the photo on your computer, then click on the upload button, when it finishes uploading you will see the name of your photo (or file) listed under current attachments. If you want to upload another photo (or file), just repeat the process, browse and find it on your computer and hit the upload button. Then close that small window and submit your message.

Please note: photos must be in jpg or gif format.

Any questions, please ask them in this thread.

Cheers

Clancy

  trouble uploading photo

Hi Clancy
I tried to upload a jpeg photo of some mini blinds I painted guitars on and I can't make it work. Its the first time I've done this....I read your post on how to do it and it still won't work. When I hit the upload button it starts to load and then I get "Internet explorer cannot display web page" ! I know the file can't be any bigger than 2mb, my photo is 323kb, is that too big? Sorry to be so dumb! Can you help me?
Thanks
Pattianne

I should work. Just email it to me if you are still having problems. Email me the file at clancy @guitarforbeginners.com (without the space) and point me to the thread you started and I'll upload it for you.

Cheers

Clancy

I've uploaded your pic to that thread for you pattianne. Not sure why it wasn't working for you. It wasn't a big file and took me about 30 seconds to upload it. Are you on dial-up? Maybe it is timing out for you.

Thanks Clancy for your help. No I don't have dial up.....I have no idea why it wouldn't work. Maybe next time I'll have better luck! By the way I've really enjoyed the site..love being a part of it. You do a great job.

Hi Clancy ,
Is it possible to insert an image in the body of a post?, or only as an attachment.
Thanks Matt

It is possible Matt. Is the image hosted elsewhere or do you want to attach it here and insert it in the post?

Yeah sorry about that I meant to put brilliant twice, it's hard finding the right keys in the dark and the guy in front wasn't very happy when I tried to retrieve my Popcorn from his wifes blouse
