Hi there Nick. First of all go to the main store page - http://www.guitarforbeginners.com/forum/vbdigishop.php
Once there you should see a link on the left hand side which reads ' purchased lessons'. If you click on it you will see a list of all the lessons you have purchased. To the right of each lesson in the list is a ' download' option. Click on it and select save file to save it to an appropriate location on your hard drive.
Let me know if this doesn't work for you.

Thank you so much.Ithink this may be the breakthru I've been looking for.If I have what I saw in the short teaser video correct you can play
all of the scales from one position. The video shows the scales played rooted at the 7TH fret.If I am correct I can play those same scales at say the 5TH fret by subtracting 2.Example:the B scale pattern at the 7TH would be a G scale at the 5TH fret.Is that right?

Yes, you can start anywhere and play the scale that starts with that note.
BTW a "B scale" pattern starting at the 5th instead of the 7th will give you A, not G.

That's right, I was only counting whole steps. This is great. My A55 is laughing.I've been Banging out rythum for 30 years and I'm a pretty good rythum player. But with this and some time Ican finally unlock my mind to how lead is put together.Kirk is the MAN!!!!!!!!! Thank you,Thank you,Thank you!!!!!!!!!! When I think of all the money I've spent over the years and the revelation only cost $5.00.
This 53 year old frustrated guitar player IS IN YOUR DEBT!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to hear you gleaned something from that lesson, mojogog.
Now for the bad news: in case you're thinking that's how I come up with solos -- by knowing all scales in all positions -- I'm afraid to say it's not. The last time I thought 'scale' or 'mode' would have been back in the 1970's, which is when I discovered that thinking chords is the key to coming up with melodic ideas that always work, no matter how 'complex' the music seems to be.
Have a look at these two lessons for more on the 'other' way of soloing:
The Power of Chord Tones
The Power of Chord Tones 2

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
