Hi folks
I've been playing guitar for a year now and recently bought Kirk's
Planetalk book. I was a great way of teaching the theory basics for me and I would recommend any other newbies to learn some of the theory in this book. I've only really played fingerstyle and this knowledge helped me expand around the chords and embellish them somewhat.
I don't play lead though (or really know any other guitarists) so I'm not sure how to harness my newfound knowledge fully but I'm sure I'll get there. (If anyone can point me to an appropriate thread info on solo playing I'd appreciate it)
All in all Planetalk was easy to follow and gives the basics for what I'm sure will be a world of possibilities.
