Two Questions

First, I downloaded som VST plugins and I cant get them to work right. One is a Guitar Tuner and the other is a Guitar amp simulator. I use audacity to record and I put the plugins in the same spot as all the other ones that audacity uses, but when I try to use them in audacity it doesn'r look anything like the pics on the VST site. It's like its not formatted right or something.

Second, I've been using an Electret Condenser Microphone from Sony. Model # ECM-MS907. I can't seem to ever get the levels just right for recording vocals. If I Set it to where most of the song sounds good then the higher/louder parts are maxing out the mic and sound distorted. If I set the mic levels lower to prevent maxing it out, then the rest of the song is too low. Any Ideas how to get the levels better. I just plug it directly into the mic input on my soundcard. Should I plug it into my guitar amp and then run my amp to the sound card?
