Bassline to Kick us Off
So I was messing around with a cheap bass I picked up the other day and I played this little riff.
Thought maybe some people wanted to stick it in a looper (winamp will do) and mess around with it. See what differences styles we can create from it. The loop is not on the beat, so if you want to add something to it in a sequencer you will have to crop the Loop so it works on the beat.
I will have a crack tomorrow too and post up what I can come up with.
For people that are helped by knowing.
Notes are:
D B G F#
D B G A
With some interplay with the open A string at the end and a droning E with the start.

This is one of those few times I did not use a click track. Just recorded it on the fly.
Sorry I know that makes it harder. I meant to ask 4string if he had any trouble syncing it up or whether he had to really work at it, ie...is my timing any good?

Timings fine Fong, only problem I had is due to lack of skill I did this splice/loop thing real fast, it could be better but then again so could I..lol.
Kriss, I added the drums via Band in a box...bpm's 150

Here is my take
I had fun with this, I had a bit of trouble with finding a suitable rhythm so I went funk and it fit and I had a blast. I added a bit of bass to break it up so I hope you dont mind.
Still working on some melody but that will take a few days, its a bit fast for me. I had slow the track down to put these guitar parts in and them sped it up again.

Here`s a quick go I had at adding something - I took Krissovo`s funky take and added a few bits and pieces
The end caught me out a bit....

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
