Bassline to Kick us Off

So I was messing around with a cheap bass I picked up the other day and I played this little riff.

Thought maybe some people wanted to stick it in a looper (winamp will do) and mess around with it. See what differences styles we can create from it. The loop is not on the beat, so if you want to add something to it in a sequencer you will have to crop the Loop so it works on the beat.

I will have a crack tomorrow too and post up what I can come up with.

For people that are helped by knowing.

Notes are:

D B G F#
D B G A

With some interplay with the open A string at the end and a droning E with the start.

Thanks Krissovo, I did this on another program, I was having fun with my Mac, they're so quiet nowhere near the noise of a PC but for some reason the screen's gone blurry to be honest I don't know how to fix it, Imacs aren't the easiest things to get into so any suggestions are welcome

Sounds like screen resolution, click on the apple icon on the top left.

Open displays and choose the highest setting, that should do it!

Wow, I hope that didn't come across wrong , I should of stated more clearly that "I" don't have honed skills in the splicing department.

Here's mine again with some updates...realigned the track timing a tad. More to come soon, I hope to change the last half into something different...

You guys are great you make me realise I should practice more!

Kenny: about your dad's garden....dig deep - you know you want to

Chris: did you use Mixcraft for your reggae additions?

All of you are so talented (sigh) but also an inspiration

High Carol, Yes that was Mixcraft, I just got a load of new loops updated, this seemed the ideal opportunity to play with them, the mixing took a bit of time but it didn't turn out too bad, Reggae has a nice beat to it.

Thanks Kenny

Something a bit different, X4Strings track gave me this idea.

NO WAY

I'm sure the world ain't what it used to be

It could be true or maybe it's just me

Society's insane
Innocents in pain

No one seems to take the blame
The President can't spell his name
And killing is his favourite game
To play

No way

Bin Laden hides in caves and shirks
While others do his dirty work
He tapes another cowards threat
To play

Oil prices out of hand
Politicians bury heads in sand
Why won't they just tell us the truth
Today

No way

The economys gone down the pan
We've screwed up on our mortgage plan
The banks they won't carry the can
Today

No way

Crime is now a way of life
Rows settled with a gun or knife
Society has somehow lost it's way

Dictatorships of coups afraid
Refuse to accept foreign aid
They'd rather see their people die in pain

The world it needs a wake up call
There must be help for one and all
Leaders should lead instead of talk
All day

We Pray

For that day
