intonation

Hello all! I'm new to this site but I'm lovin' it!

I've got a Les Paul and I just put new strings on it. The intonation was awful so I reset it. Everything checks out, the guitar is in perfect standard tuning and I set my intonation according to the 12th fret harmonics. I've got a really good ear so every thing's ideal, but the Low E is buzzing ridiculously AND inconsistently. The A and D strings are buzzing like this as well, but not as bad. The high strings are fine, so I raised the stop bar a bit, but its at its peak. I have no idea how to correct this. I've never been amazing at putting strings on a guitar, but I've never been terrible at it, either. If my stringing isn't quite up to par, would this affect my dilemma as well?

Thanks all!

If you have restrung the guitar, did you match the gauge or go for lighter strings?

If the latter, you may need to adjust the truss rod as the finger board will be a bit flatter under the reduced string tension.

Have a search for checking and adjusting neck relief.

Sounds like a truss rod adjustment may be in order.
